Why this is a journey, not a tour
We seek travellers who are willing to listen deeply, stay curious, and explore the grassroots.
At its core, this journey is about the connection between people, places and perspectives.
The money stays where you travel. Your dollars should go to the people whose land and culture you experience.
The Great Indian Journey goes past the obvious, touristy version of a place and curates an immersive experience.
Your hosts
The three of us met on a youth exchange programme, all working in the development sector. Each of us has spent at least two years on the ground in the regions where The Great Indian Journey takes place — exploring villages off the highway, markets and local culture, and building the relationships this journey runs on.

Every stay is handpicked. Some nights are in premium 4-star hotels, some in village homestays deep in the interior, and some at forest camps. The full stay list comes with your itinerary.
A cuisine that reflects the rich traditional knowledge of the region, deeply connected to nature and sustainability.
From airport pickup to airport drop, every journey in between is handled — choosing scenic routes so each travel day feels like part of the journey, not a disruption to it.
Curated workshops and conversations about culture, handicrafts and how communities run their own affairs — designed to make meaningful memories with people and places, and reconnect you to yourself.

An honest filter
The quietly exhausted — tired of surface-level connection. The successful and the burnt-out. The curious and searching, not quite sure of what.
People who want to travel to a place, not tick it off a list, and who are willing to slow down enough to notice what stillness feels like.
A vacation. It is a journey — and the difference matters.
If you're looking for a checklist tour, a five-star spa or a fitness bootcamp, this won't be it. If you're not sure which side you're on, talk to us first.
