A glimpse
Why this program, and why not a tour
We seek travellers who are willing to listen deeply, stay curious, and explore the grassroots.
At the core, this program is about the connection between People, Places and Perspectives.
The money stays where you travel. Your dollars should go to the people whose land and culture you experience.
The Great Indian Journey goes past the obvious, touristy version of a place and curates an immersive experience.
Your hosts
We three musketeers from the development sector crossed paths during a youth exchange programme. Each of us has spent at least two years on the ground in the regions where the Great Indian Journey takes place — exploring villages off the highway, the markets, offbeat immersions, and local culture, and building the relationships this journey runs on.

Every stay is handpicked — a blend of premium 4-star and village stays deep in the interior. Places that feel raw and push boundaries, the kind you remember long after you leave.
A cuisine that reflects the rich traditional knowledge of the region, deeply connected to nature and sustainability.
From airport pickup to airport drop, every journey in between is handled — choosing scenic routes so each travel day feels like part of the journey, not a disruption to it.
Curated workshops and interactions exploring culture, handicrafts and governance in their most authentic form — designed to make meaningful memories with people and places, and reconnect you to yourself.
